I rarely write about individuals, especially politicians, but it’s always joyful to pen about those who distinguished themselves by standing for what is right. My first was my parents, and then Senator McCain, who was called Maverick, captured my interest; McCain stands out to me, and he was a hero who could have avoided going to the Vietnam war because of his father’s position, but he went and was captured and detained. Upon coming and returning home, he served his country with distinction, ack home, he served his country with honor, including prioritizing government over part. Now, as Senator Feinstein passes, we are reminded of what she stood for and what she fought for, especially after the alleged mistreatment of Anita Hill during Clarence Thomas’s confirmation hearing to become the associate justice of the e of what she stood for and what she fought for, especially after the alleged mistreatment of Anita Hill during Clarence Thomas’s confirmation hearing to become the associate at the Supreme Court, which propelled Sen. Feinstein to double down in mentoring and supporting women who were and to some extent still minorities in Congress.

She was tough and kind, as you can see when she brought former president Barack Obama to connect with the former rivals President Obama and former Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton. When the press asked Senator Feinstein about the meeting she organized for the two senators who were rivals, Feinstein said, in her usual manner, that it was a “positive discussion,” according to The Hill’s Manu Raju. But she also stressed it was private and wouldn’t discuss what Obama and Clinton discussed.
